Join Host Michael Lerner in conversation with Dr. Dwight McKee, a leader in the field of complementary medicine with an emphasis in nutritional and body/mind medicine. He brings a comprehensive perspective to the practice of Oncology and Hematology and is at the forefront of the application of “integrative medicine” to the field of cancer care.
Dr. McKee has been developing a five-phase comprehensive cancer treatment strategy that has shown promise in stabilizing some patients with previously progressive metastatic cancer, and providing a good quality of life, with many patients living far beyond their conventional prognoses.
Dr. McKee will also be discussing a new book he has co-authored, After Cancer Care (Rodale 2015), a guide to diet, supplements, exercise, and stress management post-treatment for cancer. The book also proposes the need for a national infrastructure for “cancer rehab,” analogous to cardiac rehab, covered by insurance, and referred to by oncologists post treatment.
Please bring a bag lunch to the workshop and everything you need to accommodate your meal.
