~Requested Donation: $40. Registration is required.~
Twenty-seven years ago, Commonweal and The Symington Foundation held their first Conference on “New Directions in Cancer Care.” We are celebrating that event this year by gathering again in January for five days to explore the current issues and opportunities for the future, with a select group of pioneers, practitioners, and patient advocates.
The public is invited to one day of public presentations during the conference this year, on Thursday, January 14, in the Gallery at Commonweal. This is an extraordinary opportunity to hear from so many advocates of Integrative Cancer Care.
The day will consist of 20-minute TED-like talks from 12 of the participants in the conference: Keith Block, Donald Abrams, Susanne West, Dwight McGee, Mark Renneker, Rachel Naomi Remen, John Fox, Rebecca Katz, BJ Miller, Michelle Petocolis, Kamer Metafoglu, and Gwendolyn Stritter.
Please bring a bag lunch to the workshop and everything you need to accommodate your meal. We will break for lunch from 12:30 to 2:00.
We are expecting a crowd so please plan on arriving early. Carpooling is encouraged.
Please note: We are professionally videotaping this event. Please let us know if you would like to be seated in an area out of view from the camera scan. Also, the Gallery is on the second floor of the building, and no elevator is available.
