First time using Zoom?

If you have never used Zoom before, you may find that it is remarkably easy. All you need to do is click on the link provided in your confirmation email, and it will take you directly to the zoom site and guide you towards our meeting.

You do not need to download a program in advance, however, it works better if you install the app.

If you would like to test your system and practice joining a meeting go to: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-Joining-a-Meeting

You’ll see the words “Joining a Meeting”. Under that title, you’ll see a video screen with an arrow leading to a video. Do Not click on that! Scroll down below that ‘video screen’ and you’ll see the word “Overview”. In the third paragraph of that overview area, you will find the words “Join a test meeting”. Click on that link and it will take you to the “test meeting” link.

When you see the words “launch application”, click on the box that says “Open Link”. Wait for a moment until you see yourself in the TV screen! Click “Join with video”.

You are in the test meeting! Try moving your cursor to the bottom of the TV screen to see the three features that we will be using on our call: Mute, Stop Video, and Participants. Try clicking on those and experimenting a bit. To end this test session, click on “Leave Meeting”. You can also return to the main zoom support site and explore more.

Your Commonweal hosts will be going over how and when to use these features when you join the call.
